Flush is as popular in the Indian sub-continent as poker is in America. You play against the other players on the table, not against the dealer. Skilful playing and sound judgment of the opponent's hand is crucial to winning. Three cards are dealt to each player face down and betting begins. You may either look at your hand or continue to play blind, i.e. without knowing your hand. A player who moves after looking at his cards has to put double the amount of the blind bet.
Starting from the highest value, the ranking descends in the following manner. These are different from poker games originating from America:
For a Trial, AAA is the best hand down to 222.
For a Double Run or a Sequence, the ranking is such:
AKQ, A23, KQJ, QJ10 and so on down to 432.
For a Colour, the ranking is determined by the highest value card. If in a showdown both players have a Colour with the same high card, then the value of the second highest card will determine the winner. Should both these cards be of the same value, then the lowest card will decide the winner. This is also true for Pairs and High Cards. If players have the same hand, the player who asked for a "Show" loses.
